From the north you'll be travelling south on the A77, as you approach Cairnryan which is approximately 10 miles south of Ballantrae you will see the terminal on your right.

From the south you'll be travelling north on the A77, on entering Cairnryan, go through the village and approximately one mile north you will come to a roundabout where you should turn left into the Port entrance.

From England shortly after you pass through the village of Castle Kennedy, the last village before Stranraer, turn right on to the A751 signposted Ayr and Cairnryan. At the end of this road, turn right onto the A77 and follow the directions shown in "from the south" above.

Car Parking - the on-site car park has more than 300 spaces located directly in front of the terminal building with large spaces for blue badge holders, payment may be made in cash through the pay stations or by credit card at the travel centre. You may also pay onboard at the guest services desk prior to arrival.

Public Transport / Onward Travel
Onward bus connections available to and from Ayr Railway station for passengers on selected sailing who have pre-booked a Rail & Sail ticket to Glasgow, Edinburgh and other rail destinations in Britain.

Port Facilities - the brand new Loch Ryan Port has all the facilities you would expect from a modern ferry terminal including a covered check in for vehicle passengers, a comfortable departure lounge accessible to both foot and vehicle passengers, refreshment facilities and free wi-fi throughout, foot passenger boarding / disembarkation via a covered walkway, Hertz car hire desk and staff to assist passengers with particular needs.

 Getting to the Belfast Port by car:
The Stena Line Belfast terminal is conveniently located close to the motorway network off Junction 1 of the M2 Motorway (Fortwilliam roundabout) offering easy access to/from Belfast city centre and other parts of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The port is clearly signed 'Stena Line' on motorways and roads in the vicinity.

Translink operate a limited Metro service 96 service from Donegall Square West beside Belfast City Hall to the terminal from Monday to Friday.

The taxis cover areas throughout the city including central railway station. You may share a taxi or have sole occupancy from £9 per taxi to the city centre.
